Are you feeling low, overwhelmed, or finding managing day to day life a challenge? Are you looking for clarity about your experiences or a renewed sense of purpose in your life?
If you have concerns related to difficult thoughts and feelings, or other personal issues, working with a professional could be helpful for you.
Sometimes, finding a good counsellor can be like looking for a good pair of shoes. You only know it is the right fit when you try them on and walk in them for a while.
If you feel ready, I invite you to reach out to me to arrange a free 15-minute initial consultation. We can meet online or via telephone, and you can get a feel for how I work and then decide if you would like to continue with a formal assessment for ongoing support.
All you will need is a device capable of taking online video calls and a quiet and confidential space, where you will not be interrupted or overheard. I use a secure platform called VSee. No download required.
To arrange your initial consultation via phone or online, please email: info@ammacounselling.com.
I am a registered member of the BACP and have been practicing for more than 8 years. I currently provide counselling and mental health support to adults in Further Education. I have also provided counselling via an NHS contracted organisation.
I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, working exclusively online or via telephone with adult individuals residing in the UK.
My collective experiences, both professional and personal have made me all too keenly aware that life can be challenging at times, but it is in these challenges that we develop the resilience and the ability to overcome.
I am passionate about the work that I do to co-create the lasting and fundamental changes that my clients hope to achieve.
Whether you are looking for long or short-term therapy, our work together will be tailored to your individual needs.
I work with individuals, who present with a range of issues, for example, low confidence or low self-esteem; relationship issues; family issues; personal development; mild to moderate common mental health problems, such as low mood and anxiety; anger issues; ambiguous loss and bereavement; cultural issues; colourism issues and faith-based issues. I also have a particular interest in working with adults who are caring for someone with a chronic or degenerative health condition.
Sometimes, your concerns may be related to a current problem or because of a build-up of stresses or painful experiences over the years. Drawing on my training in Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive behavioural approaches, the aim of counselling is to support you to explore your concerns or difficulties in a way that extends beyond merely understanding them better. Together we can get to the root of your problem and facilitate the journey towards healing, improved emotional and psychological wellbeing and the positive and lasting changes that you desire to see in your life.
